We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking and caring individual to join our current team of Medical Imaging Care Assistants (MICAs) within the Medical Imaging Department.
You will be involved in a range of duties assisting in all clinical areas including hands-on patient care, portering, and clerical responsibilities.
With effective communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and prioritizing skills, you will be a sympathetic individual with a genuine desire to care for patients. Previous experience working within a care environment would be beneficial.
Imaging services are provided 7 days per week so a flexible approach to shift patterns is essential to support our services during the week and through the weekends.
Hours of work will be within the department's core hours of 8am to 8pm (typical shifts are 8am to 6pm & 10am to 8pm). Weekends are included but there is no requirement for night duties in this role.
We also have a Clinical Diagnostic Centre in the Glassworks Barnsley town centre, which will incorporate Outpatient Imaging Services such as CT, MRI, Plain Film X-ray, and DEXA amongst other services. This is an exciting opportunity and staff will rotate between the main site and Clinical Diagnostic Centre.
