Regional Sales Manager – North East & Ireland - Electronics Components
The vacancy is with an Electronics Component Manufacturer/ Distributor looking to recruit an experienced sales manager to cover the North UK region.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
• Reporting to the Sales Director – NE & MEA, this role works closely with the Internal Sales and Technical Sales teams to implement the company’s overall business strategy.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and establish the organisation as a key strategic partner for customers in the region.
• Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets for the North East UK and Ireland territories.
• Promote the full range of products and services offered by the organisation.
• This position covers the North of the UK and Ireland.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Take ownership of direct customer engagement within the designated region, collaborating with the Internal Sales Representative and Technical Manager to increase sales and promote our products and services.
• Identify key opportunities, gather insights, and develop strategies to expand the customer base within the region.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to opportunity qualification, sales presentations, proposal creation, negotiations, and deal closure.
• Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, ensuring the CRM system is consistently updated and maintained.
• Foster strong customer relationships, providing excellent communication and support, and influencing internal stakeholders to align on active business opportunities.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly, with approximately 60% of time spent travelling.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
• BA or BS degree required.
• Proven experience in sales and management with a successful track record.
• Experience managing large territories and working remotely.
• Strong technical sales background with a demonstrated ability to sell high-tech solutions (knowledge of the semiconductor industry is preferred).
• Established expertise in building relationships with key decision-makers and closing complex sales deals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills with customers and prospects.
• Highly adaptable with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude, quick learner, and proactive in problem-solving.
• Collaborative team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
