This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lambeth Contextual Safeguarding Support Team. We are looking for an experienced youth practitioner with excellent relationship-making and communication skills. Using a trauma-informed focus, you will be working with some of our most vulnerable young people in the community. We deliver the Vanguard and Your Choice therapeutic interventions and training will be provided to support your practice. Clinical supervision is also provided.
Job Purpose:
To build relationships with and support children, young adults, families, and their professional networks to build safety and support them to develop their fullest potential. This will include building capacity & developing practice. You will work with the young person’s allocated team to support their professional development and improve their practice in working with adolescents and young adults, enhancing professionals’ abilities to safeguard against contextual and complex harms.
18+ Key Worker: You will develop and deliver our Transitional Safeguarding Offer for young adults, curating a service catalogue and supporting young adults to access these resources and opportunities. You will also be the single point of contact for specified young adults, ensuring that information is shared effectively across the professional network. Providing some out-of-hours support to ensure young people get assistance when they most need it – from someone who can link back with their professional network.
You must have:
* NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education, NND, Health and Social Care qualification. (A, I)
* Experience of direct work with children, young people and their families
* Experience of effective collaborative and multi-agency working to support children and families. (A, I)
* Experience of delivering outreach and home-based support to children and families to address areas of identified need. (A, I)
