Successful engineering business require a Logistics & Warehouse Manager. Applicants need experience in a logistics or warehousing role and be familiar with; goods-in, storage, warehouse/stores management, export and shipping duties. The Logistics & Warehouse Manager will lead a small team and be responsible for the performance of the warehouse and logistics department. This is an exciting, broad and end-to-end role logistics warehousing role encompassing; goods-in, storage, inventory, export and shipping. There is a strong element of compliance related to the outbound logistics, export and shipping activities but this can be learned and training will be provided. Specific Duties Of The Logistics & Warehouse Manager Include Ensure accurate and traceable goods-in/receipting processes Effective and optimal management of inventory in ERP and be responsible for all movements Drive a culture of continuous and process improvement across the logistics and warehouse function Supervise, lead and develop logistics and warehouse staff Fully understand current compliance landscape in regards to US and UK export controls/processes Ensure compliant despatch/shipping, export and outbound logistical movements of products Reporting and KPI monitoring activities on behalf of the Operations Team Logistics & Warehouse Manager applicants should meet the following criteria: Previous experience in a logistics, warehousing, shipping or stores leadership role Experience in inventory control or stock control activities and appreciation of LEAN methodologies Previous exposure to an engineering or regulated industry; aerospace, defence, food, medical, pharma etc. would be advantageous but not essential Experience with MRP or ERP systems Understanding of outbound logistics, shipping and exporting goods Able to support projects and improve processes within logistics and warehouse setting
