This vacancy is for a Toolmaker Apprentice based in Burnley.
Technicians ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost within High Value Manufacturing environments.
An Engineering Technician requires the application of a complex blend of skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours across the electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems disciplines.
The main responsibilities of an Engineering Maintenance Technician are:
1. Maintaining machinery and equipment.
2. Troubleshooting issues to maintain productivity.
3. Repairing faults in machinery and equipment.
4. The use of specialised manufacturing machinery, to manufacture, refurbish and develop precision tooling for both single and multi–stage operation machines.
5. Manufacturing, development, and refurbishment of precision tooling.
Training to be provided
1. L2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing (Foundation Competence).
2. L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competencies) Mechatronics Maintenance Technician.
3. L3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
