About The Role
This role will work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure the business runs smoothly. The role is varied, and will include the following:
* Operations – support the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
* HR – responsibility for overseeing day-to-day HR operations and supporting with the implementation of the firm’s people & culture strategy.
* Projects – assist in planning and executing business initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to drive progress.
* Practice Management – help streamline internal processes, resource allocation, and service delivery to enhance operational effectiveness.
* Client & Support – oversee the client & support team, ensuring smooth communication and service delivery.
* Compliance – ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, supporting risk management and governance.
* Process Improvements – identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance workflows and business performance.
* Recruitment – support hiring processes, from candidate sourcing to onboarding, to attract and retain top talent.
* IT – help manage IT needs, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to maintain secure and effective systems.
* Procurement – oversee purchasing of goods and services to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
* Communications – facilitate clear, consistent and engaging communication across the business, ensuring teams are informed and connected.
* Organising Events – plan and coordinate virtual and in-person events that support team collaboration and engagement.
This is a new role and the right candidate will have the opportunity to shape it to the needs of our growing business.
About You
You will be working closely with the Head of Operations and Senior Management Team to understand our strategy and then work with the rest of the business to make things happen.
* 5 years plus experience of working as a practice / operations manager within a law firm, accountancy firm or similar professional services business.
* HR operations and people management experience.
* Strong grasp of IT, software and practice management tools and experience of implementing these.
* Strong organisational skills and project management experience.
* Commercial awareness, financial acumen and budget management experience.
* Comfortable working autonomously, you will thrive in a varied role balancing both proactive and reactive tasks and projects.
