Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a National Account Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading OTC and consumer healthcare brands while playing a key role in the Sales Leadership team. The successful individual will have responsibility for managing and leading all activities for our national accounts, grocery multiples, wholesalers, regional pharmacies, and independent pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive the sales and be ultimately responsible for the performance of a portfolio of products, all OTC or consumer healthcare ranges in the UK.
2. National Account Manager is accountable for delivering the P&L for the given partner portfolios across OTC, H&B businesses in the UK market.
3. Manage our key accounts, wholesalers, regional pharmacy groups, independent pharmacies, and multiples across the UK, identify and deliver significant and sustainable profitable growth.
4. Developing strong trust and long-term relationships with a portfolio of key customers/buyers.
5. Reporting on the business performance on a Monthly basis.
6. Identify and drive new business acquisition via new retail customers or new brand/product launches with existing customers through forward-thinking strategy, market knowledge, and understanding.
7. Full Sales KPI’s and P&L responsibility.
8. Develop & Implement Business Development plans of new customers & clients within the market.
9. Attend networking & trade events to maximise the profile of the business.
10. Execute the business strategy and develop and implement specific account plans through customer annual JBP’s.
11. Own the trading and strategic relationship with customers and will be responsible for continuing the growth of your portfolio.
12. Identify opportunities within the P&L internally and externally to lead the Commercial agenda.
13. Ensure correct and timely budget planning and the management of the budget for sales function, to include sales revenue and margin return.
14. Compliance monitoring on commercial terms & deliver financial and volume forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
15. Reporting & maintenance of necessary customer trackers for key brands & products.
16. Cross-Functional Team ownership with E-Commerce Team, accountability, and behavior setting.
17. Serve as the link of communication between head office and key customers and internal teams.
18. Multiple cross-functional collaboration to develop account strategy and interact with Internal Senior Leadership on progress.
19. Evaluate all promotions and update promotional strategies monthly/quarterly.
20. Maintain external awareness of markets, products, processes, competitors.
21. Working closely with E-Commerce, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Customer service teams.
Required Skills
1. 5+ years’ National/Key Account Manager experience as a senior level, in Blue Chip preferred, with multiples and pharmacy experience.
2. Experience managing major grocery retailers and pharmacy accounts in the UK is essential.
3. Strong business development experience with recruiting and onboarding new retail customers.
4. Expertise in OTC, consumer healthcare, and pharmacy sectors.
5. Proven negotiation, P&L management, and strategic planning abilities.
6. Excellent communication, presentation skills, and commercial acumen.
7. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint & Power BI.
8. Have a Full Clean Driving Licence.
