We are looking for an experienced, creative video editor to work in a fashion focused environment. Editing content from social through to campaign with high production standards, we need an editor to push every project to its creative limit. We need someone who is self-motivated to generate creative solutions and push projects forward. You will need to be organized, able to work with a clear file labeling system and happy to follow a structured company workflow process. This role will be full-time, working solely with one of our main clients, a high street retailer producing a large volume of film content. The role will be based out of the brand's head office. Please note that a test edit will be required as part of the interview process.
What you need:
* Media/Film studies background welcomed but self-taught editors with a genuine creative passion will be equally considered for this role.
* Experience delivering social & campaign edits in various aspect ratio versions.
* Ability to effectively work and multitask on various jobs at any one time.
* An interest in the industry and new technology.
* Have a good understanding of commercial edit techniques used within the fashion industry.
* Bring creative ideas to the table.
* Be confident to manage smaller scale edits without full-time supervision.
* Have a positive, can-do outlook and be willing to work in a team environment.
* Take constructive feedback with a positive attitude when dealing with client and producer feedback.
* Have an eye for detail and the ability to carefully quality check all work.
* Communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
* Be unafraid to ask questions.
* Use your initiative and be proactive in everything you do.
* A willingness to travel to shoots for live on-site editing as needed.
* Happy to work Monday-Friday out of our client's central London office location.
* Be flexible on working hours to meet client deadlines.
* Good organization skills to manage the library of shoot footage.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Working for The Production Factory but based and reporting in daily to one of our key clients. Sitting within their offices, receiving direct feedback from their Production and wider Marketing team.
* Support the client on any edit requirements as they arise from social content through to campaign.
* Take direction from the team, prioritize and manage a ‘to-do’ list.
* Communicate when additional support is required to meet deadlines.
* Communicate with external post facilities when needed (Grade, Sound Mix, Composers, VO Engineers) to manage technical challenges and workflow queries.
* Confidently run with an edit end to end, supported by the brand's internal producers.
* Attention to detail on project file ordering.
* Manage the edit library of existing footage so that it can be referred back to easily.
* Have confidence to work and communicate well with external Directors / DOP’s.
* Give additional editing support to the Marketing team as needed for promotional and social media content.
* Sound Mix to broadcast standard level.
* Grade to a basic level. If you can use DaVinci this would be a bonus, but not essential.
* Source library music for edits and have a good knowledge of music libraries.
* Create on-screen captions with basic animation through AE.
* Create end frame animated graphic lock-ups with AE.
* Create subtitle files.
* Create simple animatics with storyboards stills.
* Attend client calls.
* Attend shoots on set as needed to see the footage being captured.
* Any other such duties that may be required from time to time relevant to your role.
