Salary: £50,000 + £2,000 Car Allowance, covering Derbyshire (Chesterfield) and Leicestershire, with travel across the country when required.

About the role
In this pivotal role, you will lead the evolution of our Lifelong Learning & Community work, embedding our Everyone Everywhere movement and creating impactful pathways for learning, engagement, and employment. You will develop and deliver community-based programs that promote lifelong learning and employment, using the unique gifts, skills, and passions of the people who draw on support to help them connect within and contribute to their local communities.
You will oversee Supported Living, Outreach, Lifelong Learning, and Registered Care, to ensure people are living gloriously ordinary lives.
You will make a real difference in local communities and in the lives of the people supported. Working with local citizens to nurture community action and connections through innovative approaches’
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Transformational Leadership: Drive transformational change within our Lifelong Learning & Community Development.
* Community Collaboration and partnerships: Develop and deliver community-based programs that promote lifelong learning and employment, using the unique gifts, skills, and passions of the people who draw on support to shape local communities.
* Business Acumen: Develop and implement robust business plans that support sustainable growth across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and beyond. Oversee financial management to ensure resources are used efficiently and the areas remain commercially viable.
* Person-Centred Support: Embed person-centred approaches across all areas, ensuring that each individual is treated with dignity and respect, and supported in achieving their aspirations.
* Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure the area meets and exceed regulatory standards, maintaining high levels of compliance in safeguarding, Health & Safety, and high quality support.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience: Extensive experience in service transformation, particularly within education, social care, or vocational training. A proven track record in managing and growing employment services and or social enterprises is essential.
* Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams. Expertise in strategic planning, business development, and financial management is crucial.
* Qualifications: A degree in a related field such as education, social care, or business management is desirable. Equivalent professional qualifications or certifications within the sector will also be considered valuable.
* Attributes: A passion for making a real difference, a commitment to promoting person-centred approaches, and the flexibility to manage teams across multiple locations are key to success in this role.

The car allowance for this role is currently £2,000 a year, and reasonable mileage is claimed in addition.
