The Role
You will be working as one of two Deputy Heads of Student and Graduate Employability. This is a newly structured team focusing on integrated career development learning as part of our aim to embed Work-related Experiential Learning (WREL) authentically across the curriculum. The wider team supports life-changing opportunities for our students/graduates both in the UK and overseas. As the Deputy Head focused on career development, you will lead those responsible for supporting academic colleagues to embed WREL in the curriculum and our Graduate Success Coaches who will support the best possible outcomes for our graduates.
Required Skills and Experience
This role is 0.7FTE and a temporary maternity cover for one year. You will need to have recent and significant experience of leading teams and strategy for developing employability through the curriculum. We are looking for someone who is data-driven, understands and can implement effective evaluation to ensure a priority focused team. You will need excellent communication and persuasion skills to ensure buy-in across a range of stakeholders. You will also need to motivate a hardworking and talented team by setting meaningful targets and performance indicators.
