As operators of Europe’s largest plastic film recycling centre in Geleen, Netherlands we are experts in recycling post-consumer waste (PCR) into refuse sacks and indoor bin liners. Our usage of recycled plastic is constantly growing as more and more customers and consumers embrace the challenge of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, improving the environment for the next generation. The role: We have an exciting new vacancy in our Commercial team for a Business Manager. This role will be responsible for the leadership and management of customer accounts. The role will focus on long term strategic relationships with customers through joint business plans and long-term agreements by utilising market analysis, and category knowledge and insight. Main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to): Identify and acquire new customers to support the overall Cedo strategy; Lead all commercial activities across a defined portfolio of customer accounts including accurate sales forecasting and customer service of each account; Create detailed and relevant account plans for each customer including elements such as category plans, market analysis, consumer insight and new product developments; Liaise with key customer stakeholders, Cedo manufacturing sites and all relevant departments to develop and launch products successfully, in full and on time; Proactively manage relationship as the main point of contact for the customer; Develop and maintain all customer pricing models ensuring that changes in raw materials and exchange rates are reflected in the pricing structure and that customer and Group profitability is maintained; Ensure SKU rationalisation is adhered to wherever possible with a strong focus on reducing any product proliferation. The ideal candidate will have: A recognised formal qualification in sales, communications or business, or demonstrable significant experience in relevant fields; Significant experience in a sales/commercial role; Ability to interface effectively with both internal departments and external customers; Demonstrable experience working with local suppliers and markets; Proven track record of developing profitable new business in line with budget requirements; Strong negotiation skills with an emphasis on win/win results; Experience of working in an international FMCG company is desirable for this role; Experience of working with UK major multiple grocery retailers is desirable for this role.
