The Directorate oversees DBT’s major change portfolio, ensuring our most complex change programmes are set up to deliver against our strategic priorities. We recognise that better benefits management is at the heart of driving change to optimise return for investment supporting our mission critical projects to deliver value for money and boost economic growth.
The Benefits Framework Lead is responsible for establishing and embedding the benefits management framework for a wide-reaching portfolio across DBT.
We are looking for a highly driven individual who can join our dynamic team to inspire and drive culture change to ensure all projects and programmes are benefits-led.
The role provides expert guidance and leadership on Benefits Management practices for DBT’s portfolio of projects, as well as breaking down siloes to ensure collaborative approaches with other disciplines such as Monitoring and Evaluation and commercial management.
You will work collaboratively with policy and programme teams to help identify, measure and track the impact of activities. You will build strong working relationships across different stakeholder groups, providing advice to senior stakeholders to shift mindsets on the value of benefits led delivery. You will support value for money decisions by embedding benefits into DBT’s business case approvals process.
The Benefits Framework Lead will operate at Portfolio level and will manage a small team (with a big impact) who provide support and challenge to improve the quality of benefits plans, and offer workshops and guidance to colleagues across the department.
