I am working on 3 roles in the GI Actuarial space right now which have on the +ve side the following -
* Beautiful working environment and part of the UK (sorry to be slightly oblique but need to protect to a degree for those genuinely applying)
* As against the above there is the possibility of very generous working from home arrangements if moving is out of the question..
* Sponsorship is also available potentially if you are well matched to one of the roles
* Interesting and challenging work to be done
* As there are 3 roles across the spectrum of experience a discussion is going to be fruitful whether you are Pricing / Capital or Reserving trained
* Similarly a discussion is likely to worthwhile if you are 2 or 3 years in to the actuarial career right up to senior actuary
* Very generous benefits package and decent bonus scheme
As with all things in life there is a downside! So the one -ve point is -
The base salary is arguably light, in some ways this is a reflection of it not being in London although to some degree this is mitigated by the last point above!
At any rate it would be great to chat to you as also have stuff in London also (ranging from Big 4 Consultancy to a small Syndicate)
Look forward to hearing back when you get a chance
