About the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records across multiple business entities. This role involves financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvements, ensuring accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making.
Duties will include:
1. Maintaining and controlling financial ledgers across various entities.
2. Managing the sales ledger, generating invoices, and ensuring fee structures align with agreements.
3. Overseeing purchase ledger processes and bank reconciliations.
4. Delivering reports to support income management and revenue optimisation.
5. Monitoring outstanding debts and working with internal teams to ensure timely collections.
6. Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, including consolidated financial reporting.
7. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements in line with accounting standards.
8. Managing intercompany reconciliations and applying transfer pricing models.
9. Assisting with tax calculations and compliance reporting.
10. Supporting cash flow management and regulatory financial requirements.
11. Contributing to the improvement of financial controls and governance frameworks.
12. Acting as a key liaison during the annual audit process.
About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), we may consider some finalists for the role. Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with financial reporting tools are desirable. The role requires a self-motivated professional with excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to process improvements, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
