About The Role

Due to the continued expansion of the business and increasing demands, we’re looking for a Credit Controller who will thrive in a busy operational environment to join our Credit Control team at Birchwood Park, Warrington.
In this fast-paced role as a Credit Controller you’ll manage a large dynamic ledger of medium sized businesses across all Ashtead businesses. You’ll be comfortable managing your own workload and dealing with a high variety and volume of customers, maximising collections to agreed payment terms and working to agreed ageing and cash targets. The role will heavily involve using excel spreadsheet and forms, where your duties will also involve liaising with colleagues in our Branch/Depot network, as you’ll identify and escalate queries whilst maintaining ownership through to resolution.

To succeed as a Credit Controller you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
1. Previous experience in a similar role in a high volume commercial credit department
2. Knowledge and experience of using Excel
3. Self-motivated with a collaborative, team working approach
4. Ability to demonstrate excellent administrative/organisational abilities and a keen eye for details and accuracy
5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
6. Able to work on own initiative.
7. IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
8. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
9. Proven track record in a target driven environment
