STS Aviation Services is rapidly growing and looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at the Birmingham Hangar. Key Responsibilities
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with EASA Part 145 and national regulations, staying updated on any changes.
* Audit Program Management: Develop and implement the Part 145 audit program, ensuring timely and comprehensive execution.
* Conduct Audits: Perform scheduled and unannounced quality audits across maintenance activities and subcontracted services to verify compliance.
* Reporting and Corrective Actions: Report findings to directors and ensure the appropriate closure of audit findings through root cause analysis and preventative measures.
* Staff Authorization Management: Oversee the Part 145 certifying staff authorization system to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
* Support Independent System Monitoring: Assist in monitoring the efficiency of design organization systems and survey corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
* Education & Training:
o Formal aviation engineering training.
o Training in Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
* Experience:
o Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations and practical application.
o Proven auditing experience within the aviation industry.
o Previous experience in aircraft maintenance.
o Familiarity with the engineering authorization process.
o Knowledge of Part 21 requirements and the Design Organisation Handbook.
o Understanding of procedure UK.DOP-01 ‘Independent System Monitoring’.
* Skills:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
* Other Requirements:
o Eligibility to qualify for UK airside security passes, per DFT regulations.
o Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and abroad.
