Packer duties and responsibilities
Packers are responsible for ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and are packed to a high standard prior to shipment. Packers are also responsible for hitting packing targets and for working in a health and safety compliant way in the warehouse. Their other duties and responsibilities include:
1. Locating the correct goods as per customer orders using barcodes and serial numbers
2. Using warehouse machinery to move goods from storage areas to packaging areas
3. Inspecting goods for damage or faults before they are packed
4. Using industrial packaging materials, such as cardboard boxes, wooden pallets and bubble wrap to safely and securely package goods
5. Loading packaged goods into containers for shipping
6. Completing paperwork or entering data into software to allow orders to be tracked
7. Ensuring that storage areas are kept fully stocked at all times
8. Following health and safety policies and procedures in the warehouse
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7.30 - 4.30
Lunch: 45 min
Additional Benefits: Free parking, canteen on site, extra hours available some Saturdays
Note: Own car essential due to no public transport
