Ambulance Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Ambulance Operations Manager will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering excellent clinical care to patients, holding responsibility for all ambulance operations.
You will be responsible for safety and quality of LSA Secure ambulance operations delivery and participate in an on-call manager rota.
You will contribute to and lead the delivery of aspects of the LSA Secure Clinical Strategy and actively participate in LSA Secure Senior Management Team activity.
The role will be based at LSA Secure HQ; however, travel will be required to support effective delivery of the role.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Act as a role model and be an exemplar for LSA Secure values.
2. In partnership with the Operations Team, provide strong support across the ambulance operations and operations support team.
3. Responsible for Team Supervisors and Team Mentors, including work allocation, performance reviews, sickness reviews, and appraisals.
4. Responsible for effective delivery of ambulance operations including workforce, scheduling, and dispatch.
5. In partnership with The Senior Management Team, hold responsibility for the administrative compliance of staff within the ambulance operations team.
6. Assist in inducting new team members including direct supervision, onboarding support, and sign-off process.
7. Undertake and support investigations as required, reporting to The Operations Director.
8. Participate in an on-call rota as the company duty manager, providing a single point of contact for staff and external partners.
9. Promote a supportive, fair, and open culture that encourages and enables all parts of the workforce to meet required performance standards.
10. Support high standards of human resources practice.
11. Promote the vision, values, and goals of the organisation.
12. Ensure effective communications with the ambulance operations and operations support teams.
13. Provide leadership cross cover for the Event Operations team.
Quality and Governance:
1. Responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards within ambulance operations.
2. Utilise systems to monitor effective service delivery and compliance across ambulance operations.
3. In conjunction with the Ambulance Base Manager, provide oversight of medicines governance.
4. Contribute to the review and development of policy and procedures.
5. Participate in service development activity.
6. Responsible for oversight and adherence to all KPIs.
7. Maintain effective and active relationships with key customers.
8. Liaise with other health care providers to facilitate effective and safe service delivery.
9. Monitor operational budgets to ensure effective and efficient use of company funds and resources.
Health, Safety and Risk Management:
1. Maintain good corporate governance arrangements including health and safety risk management.
2. Contribute to the reduction of risk to patients, staff, and the organisation from operational activities.
3. Responsible for health and safety of the ambulance operations workforce.

Person Specification:
Qualifications
Essential:
1. Proven track record in successful ambulance operations management (minimum 2 years).
2. Management Qualification or current relevant experience.
3. Commitment to personal/professional development.
Desirable:
1. Business, finance, or administrative qualification.
2. Degree or other higher education equivalent.
Additional Criteria
Essential:
1. Flexible with regards to hours of work.
2. Able to work a full range of shifts including out of hours on call rota.
3. Enhanced DBS Clearance.

6. Currency in ambulance operations.
7. Understanding of pre-hospital and ambulance service operations.
8. Good knowledge of professional clinical guidelines.
9. Strong commitment to high standards of service delivery and customer care.
10. Experience of management within an ambulance operations environment.
11. Experience of working within the NHS.
