Pulse is recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join a team at an NHS trust located in Derbyshire. The post is available to start 01 May 2024- 30 November 2024.
The successful physiotherapist will provide specialist respiratory input supporting the running of Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes within the Community setting, using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge/respiratory qualifications. The postholder will be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers and external agencies who may require advice and support and guidance in the management of respiratory conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma and bronchiectasis. Applying therapists should have previous experience in respiratory conditions to be considered for this role.
Duties within this role will include:
1. Treatment for respiratory conditions
2. Independently managing own caseload of complex patients
3. Treating respiratory inpatients
4. Working on medical wards, treating older adults
5. Dealing with respiratory medicine
6. Carrying out assessments of patient progress
To be considered for this role you must:
7. Have 3 years’ experience working within an acute NHS setting
8. Be HCPC registered
9. Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in physiotherapy
10. Experience of treating COPD patients
