NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
We will fully support disabled candidates, and candidates with long-term conditions or who are neurodivergent by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practices.
Applications are welcomed for highly motivated Podiatrists to join our dynamic team working in Scotland’s capital city and the surrounding areas.
The NHS Lothian Podiatry Department is a forward-thinking team with a vision of a modern, quality service with learning at its core, improving the foot health of our communities. We are hosted by West Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership, and the service covers Edinburgh, East, Mid and West Lothian. The successful candidate will be required to travel independently within the service area.
Our Specialist Podiatrists work in both the clinic and domiciliary settings, providing highly effective assessment and treatment plans to those with wounds, at high risk of foot ulceration and complications, and MSK conditions. They work collaboratively as part of an MDT providing support to podiatrists and students. Applicants should be able to demonstrate effective leadership and relevant up-to-date CPD.
An induction programme is provided, and one-to-one supervision is offered to all staff on an ongoing basis. Staff are actively encouraged to develop their clinical and leadership skills and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
