Were opening a brand-new French restaurant in Mayfair, and were looking for a passionate and skilled Pastry Sous Chef to be part of our leadership team. This beautiful two-floor space will feature 150 seats, serving classic French cuisine in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere from morning to night.
This new opening is the latest addition to BVC Group, which operates a portfolio of innovative, globally recognized food concepts, including NAC, Crme and Supernova. With a strong presence in London, Paris, and the Middle East, BVC Group is known for blending creativity with operational excellence, delivering outstanding dining experiences across multiple markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious new concept, working closely with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure exceptional desserts, smooth kitchen operations, and a dynamic team culture.
POSITION SUMMARY:
* Oversee the daily operations of the Pastry section, working closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional service delivery.
* Manage and motivate the brigade, conducting daily briefings and ensuring staff receive ongoing training and support to achieve their potential.
* Maintain the highest food standards by ensuring recipes are consistently followed, dishes are perfectly presented, and customer expectations are exceeded.
* Work with the Executive Pastry Chef on recipe development, costing, ensuring creativity and cost-effectiveness.
* Manage stock control, budgeting, and food cost to meet targets, all while minimising waste and ensuring FIFO procedures are followed.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, safe, and productive environment.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Pastry Chef, with excellent leadership skills.
* A strong passion for the art of pastry and a creative approach to menu design.
* Exceptional organisational and communication abilities to manage a high-pressure environment.
* A focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork, with an eye for detail.
* Right to Work in the UK.
