An exciting office-based opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant in South Manchester. This role is perfect for someone with excellent IT knowledge who possesses strong problem-solving and data analysis skills and with a high attention to detail. The successful candidate will be part of a team that values strong work ethic, co-operation and understanding.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining the Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable, supplier statements and Purchase Order Management
* Preparing bi-monthly supplier payment runs
* Reviewing and processing patient payments
* Bank reconciliations
* Credit card expenditure management and reconciliation
* Assisting with month-end duties and financial reports as required
* Completing external returns – National Statistics, HMRC and Companies House
* Supporting your manager with day-to-day tasks
Your ability to work methodically and logically will be key to your success in this role.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience of working in an accounts role and/or actively studying towards an accountancy qualification
* Excellent IT skills and high level of competence in Microsoft Excel
* Motivation and initiative with strong desire to learn
* Ability to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently
* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
