* Hybrid working with some travel to Scotland on a monthly basis.
Job Description
* Act as procurement partner on EPC High Voltage Substation projects with purchase volume £2-3M per project
* - Ensure procurement processes are understood and implemented effectively during bid and execution phases of projects to ensure project goals are met including timely delivery of procurement activities; within budget; correct quality and high stakeholder satisfaction.
* Prepare, action and manage request for quotation including negotiation of pricing and commercial terms.
* Define sourcing and supplier strategy for assigned commodities within SUB&FACTS procurement set-up and commodity allocated as part of wider UK GT GS set-up, Ensure commodity dossier is updated annually & aligned with HQ commodity expert or manager; completion of supplier evaluations by defined deadlines and develop and drive a clear short term and long term strategy.
* Proactively identify and manage risks related to suppliers on projects to avoid non-conformance costs that reduce project financial performance and impact business target achievements. Ensure sufficient contract coverage is in place based on scope; value and risk ensuring key commercial terms have been considered negotiated prior to contract award.
* Assist function as required in completion of function and project tasks on-time and to a high quality. Actively foster a high performance culture by actively participating and driving improvement initiatives
* Ensure high standards are maintained across the procurement function through adherence to agreed processes and approved tool usage
* Raising of purchase orders within SAP in line with company guidelines
