About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrical) to join our Estates & Facilities team at Nottingham University Hospitals. This role is crucial in ensuring the maintenance, repair, and installation of essential electrical systems within our healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform electrical installations of plant and services, including wiring ballasts
2. Conduct fault-finding and repairs on heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems
3. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections
4. Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and Trust policies
5. Maintain workshops, stores, boiler rooms, and plant areas to high standards
6. Identify and order necessary stock and materials
7. Operate and maintain tools, PPE, and work equipment
8. Use PDA systems to log completed jobs and test results
You'll have the following skills/experience:
1. NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
2. Experience in electrical maintenance and installation
3. Knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, generators, and heating systems
4. Ability to read and understand technical drawings
5. Strong problem-solving skills for fault-finding and repairs
6. Commitment to health & safety standards
7. Full UK driving licence (preferred)
