Job Summary
Kent & Medway Partnership Trust are delighted to be recruiting to a Clinical Lead position within our Mental Health Together Plus (MHT+) Team in Maidstone. The Trust has been implementing the Community Mental Health Framework and this position will be part of the management team within MHT+, working alongside the Mental Health Together Team to provide a high-level service to the population we serve.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic clinician with suitable leadership and experience, who is motivated to join the collective leadership team that supports the team.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day clinical oversight of the team to ensure that we deliver safe, effective, and efficient care to service users. You will work alongside other clinical leads and operational team managers within the Community Mental Health Framework as well as our 3rd sector partners who form part of the MHT Team.
You will facilitate the transfer of Service Users between Mental Health Together and Mental Health Together Plus and between the different specialist teams within the Trust and coordinate care within a shared caseload and relevant framework.
Main duties of the job
Overall, the role will entail working within the leadership team to ensure that as a service we provide 7-day clinical lead oversight/cover.
* Act as a role model to support/guide the team to deliver high-quality standards of care, be responsive to service demands, and dynamic in supporting the team with complex and challenging situations.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, work well within the leadership team to prioritise daily clinical demands/needs of service while supporting the clinical team.
* Provide clinical advice and supervision (both individual and group supervision) and contribute to individuals' appraisals.
* Provide in-house training to the team and wider teams/services when needed.
* Support and embed clinical standards within the team.
* Lead/support and contribute to monitoring the team's clinical performance via clinical audits and work in conjunction with the Team Manager to support actions to improve the quality and performance of the service and outcomes for service users.
* Show excellent organisational, time management, and delegation skills to work in an area of changing priorities.
* Be a cohesive member of the Leadership Team, work flexibly, and support the Team Manager where needed, offering expertise and experience to develop new staff and support in retention and wellbeing of the team.
