Your role: We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer for our Infrastructure team to be based in Edinburgh, joining our 2025 Graduate Programme. As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your civil engineering expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. The Opportunity You will be based in our Edinburgh office, where you will have opportunity to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across the country and local projects in the Scotland region. This civils team is part of a larger, nationwide transport team, bringing together multi-disciplinary capability across the business. You will be involved in all phases of project life cycles, from feasibility all the way through to construction. The team are predominately involved in the design of major highway schemes and infrastructure projects including highway alignment, pavement design and drainage design. Assisting with technical input into a variety of projects, your duties could include: Getting involved in the development of concept, preliminary and detailed scheme designs. Preparing design reports, specifications and technical notes. Completing engineering design work and calculations, this could include preparing 3D design models of our projects. Researching the latest technologies and construction techniques and playing a key role in minimising the environmental impact of our projects. Assisting in the management of Health and Safety risks and taking steps to proactively manage and mitigate potential issues. Preparing cost estimates and assisting our clients to value engineer the best solutions within given time, cost and environmental constraints. Developing an understanding of the various stakeholders involved in infrastructure design and management by collaborating with professionals from other organisations and disciplines. Supporting project management processes to monitor programme, cost and risk.
