Description Grade UE03: £23,114 - £25,148 per annum Corporate Services Group / Edinburgh Research Office Full time: 35 hours per week Fixed term: 9 th June 2025 – 29 th August 2025 (12 weeks) Employ.ed on Campus internships are ONLY open to 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. We are looking for an intern to support marketing and delivery of the University’s public engagement programme at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Opportunity: The University, in partnership with the Stand Comedy Club have a long-running public engagement with research programme at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe feature university academics talking about some of their more controversial research in an informal setting with local stand-up comedians. 2025 will be the thirteenth year that this has run. The Public Engagement Intern will lead on the final marketing of the 2025 shows. This will include: Undertaking a programme of focussed, tailored publicity for each show. Designing and implementing a social media campaign for the whole programme. This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. Employ.ed on Campus is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with university departments and Schools. It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh. As well as great work experience, the Careers Service provides supporting resources, this is combined with a framework to support the development of participants’ employability and self-reflection with an Edinburgh Award as part of the internship.
