Our client, a specialist Commercial Painting and Decorating contractor based in South Lanarkshire is actively seeking a Senior QS to manage financial aspects of commercial painting projects up to the value of £500k. This business has been a family-run business for over 75 years, employs c. 20 staff and works with a number of key main contractors and fit-out contractors.
Responsibilities:
* Budget planning and cost control.
* Manage project finances, and negotiate payment terms.
* Prepare, produce and analyse bids.
* Manage contracts, and handle variations.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks.
* Financial project updates, monthly CVRs and final account negotiation
* Work closely with the Operations team from a delivery perspective
Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related industry qualification
* Ideally working within a subcontract environment
