Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist/Appointments Co-Ordinator at the Worcestershire Oncology Centre based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible individual to join our existing reception team. The job role requires a friendly, welcoming individual who will work front of house, greeting patients on arrival to the oncology centre. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential as well as previous experience working in a customer service or patient related environment. The post is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (on-site), working between the hours of 8am and 6pm (on a shift basis) there will be a requirement on occasion to work up to 8pm as part of a departmental rota. Main duties of the job Welcome, receive and greet all visitors providing the first point of direct contact contact for patients attending for pre-radiotherapy assessments/work-ups, radiotherapy treatment and oncology outpatient clinic attendances. Be responsible for resolving routine enquiries in accordance with local standards and procedures and referring other queries to relevant colleagues where appropriate. Keep up-to-date and accurate accounts on computer system of all clinic attendances making any alterations necessary, e.g. Changes of patient's name and address, etc. Provide administrative support for the day to day running of outpatient clinics within the centre, ensuring that appointments are outcomed and generated in accordance with clinical requirements.
