What you'll do
Responsible for the entire E2E product life-cycle of a subset of the Connectivity portfolio - LAN and SDLAN (Vodafone has services targeted at all market segments including for indirect and wholesale), from new feature development, continuous improvement, product life-cycle management and decommissioning, as well as managing the product specific propositions related to your products.
Portfolio and Product Management
1. Lead new product development projects and the implementation of their features and services.
2. Ensure products deliver excellent internal and external customer experience.
3. Continuous management of existing products, including managing the addition of new features.
4. Drive the uptake of products and manage against performance targets, ensuring achievement of Product specific revenue and margin budgets.
5. Contribute towards the overall product strategy, interworking with other connectivity.
6. Monitor the UK Market and adjust our offering accordingly, to provide best in class products.
7. Define product-related Capex/Opex requirements for the business during the annual planning cycle.
8. Ensure Products are clearly aligned to the Vodafone Business and Vodafone Product & Propositions strategic direction.
9. Ensure Sales, marketing and GTM are fully enabled to effectively promote your products.
10. Use market analyst, sales and customer insights to maintain and update a roadmap of product development, ensuring our products are relevant and up to date.
Stakeholder Management
1. Maintain regular engagement with operational stakeholders to optimise product performance.
2. Lead product specific engagements with key partners and vendors, in conjunction with SCM and Partner teams.
3. Regular updates to management stakeholders on product performance.
4. Ongoing engagement with finance and commercial teams to track financial performance and business case ROI.
5. Sales and Customer engagements to promote products, answer enquiries and gain feedback.
6. Marketing and Propositions interlock to ensure alignment to strategic direction.
Who you are
1. Product Management experience with the proven ability to manage an entire product life-cycle from concept to launch for B2B/Enterprise.
2. Some propositions experience to support the launch of your product portfolio.
3. Commercially minded with the proven ability to build a business case and create a P&L.
4. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
5. Experience of engaging directly with customers, and customer facing teams.
6. Proven experience supporting external engagements.
7. Understanding of supplier management.
8. Understanding and proven ability to define complex sales and service delivery processes.
9. Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a complex matrix structure.
10. Good communication and influencing skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
11. Problem solving and decision-making skills.
12. Project management and planning.
13. Inquisitive and can-do mind-set.
14. Good business acumen and ability to translate complex technical solutions into enablement for Account Managers and Sales Specialists.
15. Transferrable skills and experience are welcome by Vodafone but exposure/experience of the following would be an advantage:
16. LAN and SDN inc WAN.
17. Appreciation of underpinning technology and system.
18. Post PSTN product and technology.
19. Experience in Telco or IT.
20. Understanding of operational processes and digital transformation.
