An excellent opportunity has arisen to appoint a clinician with experience of musculoskeletal (MSK) patient management to the post of Senior Locally Employed Doctor (LED).
The Senior Locally Employed Doctor will undertake clinical and research duties in a 50:50 split. The fellow will support research studies in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and other connective tissue diseases, including recruitment, assessment of disease, clinical trial activities, and will have the opportunity to work with BRC researchers on original research.
Clinical duties will cover new and follow-up clinics with a broad case mix. The candidate is not expected to cover ward duties or any out-of-hours work. The post would be especially suitable for rheumatology specialist trainees wishing to gain out-of-programme experience in research or those trainees nearing the completion of training wishing to gain additional experience before taking up a consultant post.
