You would be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of spiritual programmes and outreach with the local community. We have created this new role to help us deliver a wider and more exciting range of programme within our Corps (Church) building. This role has an “occupational requirement” to be a practicing and committed Christian, actively involved in your own Church. As the Community Mission Facilitator, you will: Support the delivery of the community missional programme, including children and young people’s activities Explore new avenues of community-based ministry and, where appropriate, implement new programme elements in partnership with the Corps officer To assist with developing and leading worship in the community programme where appropriate To undertake general administration associated with the Corps programme, ensuring that the paperwork is promptly and correctly dealt with and accurate records maintained To network with other local community and church organisations The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: strong previous experience and up to date knowledge of developing and implementing successful community missional programmes for a diverse range of participants The ability and willingness to support the fulfilment of the spiritual aims of the programme showing compassion and understanding to all programme participants and be willing to support an individual’s spiritual needs An awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements such as health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, equality and diversity This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
