Job Description: As Quality Manager you'll deploy the quality strategy in your assigned line of business and coordinate the activities required to meet the quality standards set for projects, products and services. You'll work with the wider teams and functions to ensure that this quality is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. You'll be a key player and driver to promote Quality throughout the organisation and strive for a culture of excellence. What you’ll do as a Quality Manager: Provide leadership for the development and promotion of a Quality culture and excellence in your line of business in line with the overall Quality Strategy Develop and establish quality-process links with customers, both internal and external in line with the Business Management system and oversee continued compliance and embedding across the line of business. Proactively work with all key stakeholders to support and facilitate problem solving, continual improvement activities. Develop, reinforce and support the roll out of advanced quality techniques based on risk management and focussing on preventing problems from occurring in the first place. As part of the role you will continuously be encouraged to reflect together with the teams on how to further develop the role of quality within the organisation considering aspects such as customer value co-creation, digitalisation, new technologies, removal of non-value added activities and the ever so important sustainability. Organise, lead, coach and develop a team of Quality Engineers, with the aim to embed Quality and deliver (on time) Quality outputs throughout the project/product Life Cycle as well as to ensure the provision of Assurance expertise and capability to the various projects and programmes. Ensure and support activities, such as (but not limited to) development of Project Assurance Plans (PAP), management of non- conformance (MRB, complaint management), root cause analysis, auditing, risk management, APQP activities, cost-of-non-quality and cost-of-quality reduction programs. Establish and maintain a set of performance KPI's to allow informed decision making. Attend and contribute in Sector, Programme and IPT meetings and represent the Quality Function at senior level in the sector Deliver programme specific assessment plans which help the Programme Manager focus on and resolve Programme risk and realise opportunities. What we need from you: Experience in a similar role within an electronics, avionic, automotive, defence, space or similar advanced manufacturing Industry Good understanding of advance quality tools (e.g. FMEA, control plans), life cycle management and/or advanced product quality planning (APQP) Excellent knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis tools (e.g. 8D, DMAIC) Excellent understanding of AS9100 / ISO 9001 Experience in quality auditing to AS9100/ISO9001/DAOS including the Supply Chain is a plus Strategic and solution oriented thinker Good organisational skills and able to develop and manage project plans Good interpersonal skills and ability to influence people without authority Experience with coaching and developing people Excellent written and verbal communication Good analytical skills and attention to detail Proficient with IT, particularly MS Office Ability to travel both nationally and internationally if required Lean 6sigma green or black belt is a plus Security Clearance You must be eligible for full security clearance.
