The Role:
As an IT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT education to students across various age groups and abilities. You will be expected to create engaging lesson plans, foster a love for technology, and support students in developing essential IT skills for their future careers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
3. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
4. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning needs.
5. Stay updated with the latest developments in IT education and integrate them into the curriculum.
6. Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events.
7. Provide support and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their academic goals.
Requirements:
1. A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
2. A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
3. Proven experience teaching IT at secondary school level (ages 11-18).
4. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment standards.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to inspire and motivate students.
7. Willingness to relocate to Oxfordshire, England.
