The Senior EPRR and Business Continuity Manager will take the senior operational lead for management and delivery of Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response (EPRR). The post will provide specialist advice, guidance and leadership to Divisions and Corporate service, ensuring that the Trust has a consistent, efficient, and high-quality Business Continuity and EPRR programme which contributes to the delivery of safer services.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure Trust compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and work with partner organisations to ensure effective business continuity planning and emergency preparedness, resilience, and response.
2. Ensure the Trust has an Incident Response Plan and associated plans to support business continuity.
3. Act as the first point of contact within the Trust for National, Regional and Trust EPRR teams.
4. Represent the Trust's interests at Local Resilience Forum Groups and deputise for the Deputy COO at regional and national meetings as appropriate.
5. Responsible for the communication strategy in relation to EPRR both internally (cascade tests) and externally (media).
6. Lead projects related to the national and local requirements for EPRR as required.
7. Represent the Trust at Regional network meetings as appropriate.
8. Maintain oversight of the operational on-call rotas for the Trust ensuring a robust and resilient out of hours service.

Job description
The post holder will work with and influence key stakeholders across the organisation and will be expected to ensure the Trust meets its responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, Health and Care Act 2022, and other core legislation. The post holder is also responsible for leading the Trust's compliance with the NHS England Core Standards for EPRR.
The post holder will be the Trust representative across NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICS, working with partner organisations to coordinate activity and provide assurance on the integrity of shared emergency plans and preparedness.
The post holder will manage and support the implementation of significant integrated working projects around EPRR applying agreed programme and performance methodology.
This is a key role in ensuring the positive reputation of the Trust to deliver on its statutory EPRR responsibilities and will need to work closely with senior Teams across the Trust. The post holder will act as a specialist advisory resource for the Trust.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
* Postgraduate Qualification in EPRR - i.e. RSPH level 4 Diploma in Health Emergency Preparedness, Resilience, and Response.
* Educated to Masters Level or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experiential learning/experience.
* Educated to degree Level in appropriate subject or equivalent.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Completed Principles of Health Command Training.
Desirable
* Professional courses related to EPRR i.e. Business Continuity Certification, Level 3 Teaching qualification.
* Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner Qualification.
Experience
Essential
* Demonstrate a level of experience in EPRR and Business Continuity Management.
* Experience of operation within the requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and Health and Care Act 2022.
* Experience of NHS procedures and structures.
* Experience of risk management and service continuity.
