A market-leading Specialist Insurance Company are looking to recruit a Compliance Consultant to support the Head of Risk and Compliance in ensuring that business processes, transactions, and corporate governance adhere to all relevant regulatory, legal, and internal guidelines. Role and responsibilities Maintain regulatory policies, procedures and processes to ensure they support the business in satisfying regulatory requirements and reflect operations appropriately. Maintain a compliance culture within the business providing sound compliance advice to business stakeholders. Develop training materials on a range of compliance topics. Delivery of regulatory training to the business ensuring awareness of relevant legislation and practices. Monitor business performance on the identification, notification and handling of potential breaches, considering if external regulatory breaches may have occurred. Ensure all breaches are being handled in accordance with internal SLAs and tracking remedial action through to completion. Assist with handling of complaints received by the business in accordance with, regulatory, internal and insurer requirements. Assist with sign off of customer documentation, policy wordings, and summaries of cover ensuring regulatory and Insurer obligations are being met. Ensure robust record keeping, compliance with GDPR, and enhance and uphold data security processes. Assist the Head of Compliance with the preparation of regulatory returns, reporting and general communications or engagement with the regulatory authorities. Key Skills/Experience Required: Detailed knowledge of Insurance industry best practice and compliance standards including understanding and application of governance frameworks, relevant methodologies, and knowledge of emerging practices. Previous experience in a compliance role either for a Broker / Insurer or within a Consultancy. Strong communication, time management and computer literacy skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of different stakeholders through excellent interpersonal skills. Able to deal professionally with internal and external contacts, and ability to represent the business and with a high level of credibility. CII Qualifications preferable (or working towards). Salary/Benefits Information: Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience. Hybrid working 2 days / week in the office. 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
