Every year thousands of young people find themselves unhoused, unsupported and unsafe. That's why New Horizon Youth Centre exists. Founded in 1967 by Lord Longford to address the needs of young people who were homeless and misusing drugs in the West End of London, today New Horizon Youth Centre continues to be a vital support network for 16–24-year-olds with nowhere else to go. You will collaborate closely with the Grants Manager and Head of Fundraising to build on our successful trusts income stream, which last year accounted for an impressive 43% of total income. You will manage your own portfolio of trust funders, as well as identifying potential new trusts and foundations to build a new, strong pipeline. You will also provide key support to building project proposals, budgets and supporting details for our larger funders. Last year, the fundraising department raised a staggering £4m between 3 exceptional fundraisers; this year, with plans in place to grow the team, they have their sights set even higher, with a target of £4.7 million. As part of our investment to achieve this ambitious goal, we're seeking a passionate and driven individual to join the team About you You will be passionate about our work at New Horizon, and combine this with some previous experience of raising funds, managing relationships with funders and researching new prospects. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be essential, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage stakeholders effectively. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest standard are crucial. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, will be necessary for success in this role.
