The London Clinic's Pharmacy Department is a close-knit team with around 45 staff members. The department comprises 9 core services: On Call, Dispensary Services, Distribution and Top Up Service, Procurement, Clinical Ward Pharmacy Services, Provision of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Aseptic/Technical Services, Clinical Governance and Education and Training.
Job responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 6BW, with a Band 5 Salary range on offer dependent on experience. The Pharmacy department comprises several areas that work together to provide effective patient services and the best possible outcomes for our patients.
As a Rotational Pharmacy Technician, you will participate in a safe, efficient, and accurate technician-led pharmacy operational service across all sites at The London Clinic. This is a rotational post through Dispensary, Distribution, Procurement with the eventual addition of Ward services. The post holder will ensure that the services are delivered in a safe, effective, economic, and timely manner and will be responsible for ensuring that all documentation and procedures are carried out in accordance with current legislation and guidelines.
Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 7.30pm as rostered.
Salary: Band 5 salary equivalent.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3 with accredited underpinning knowledge (BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and the Practice of Pharmacy Technicians) or Equivalent.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
* Evidence of CPD (continuing professional development).
* Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification or working towards.
* Accreditation in Medicines Management or working towards.
* Practice Supervisor or working towards.
Experience
* Portfolio demonstrating competence of previous and current pharmacy practice skills, knowledge, and CPD.
* Experience of stock management.
* Experience of patient counselling on their medication.
* Experience of working in an acute hospital pharmacy.
* Experience of formulation of Standard Operating Procedures.
