Responsibilities:
1. Validates manufacturing process proposed by Suppliers for new product industrialization in line with Safran requirements.
2. Extracts and validates Dossier Validation Industrialization (DVI) / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) files and provides them to Supplier for submittal.
3. Works in a cross-functional team to review and manage risk throughout the product lifecycle.
4. Plans and validates all industrialization deliverables in line with the project lead schedule.
5. Approves all SAP DVI P.O.s placed prior to release to the Supplier.
6. Reviews and approves applicable first article documentation (Form 0 / Form 4 / Form 6).
7. Provides Technical support to the suppliers in industrialization.
8. Verifies Suppliers qualifications and approvals are in compliance with the drawing requirements.
9. Supports Suppliers queries and Request For Drawing Change (RFDC) submittals and tracks to closure.
10. Performs Supplier training on Safran requirements & process to ensure the production of parts.
11. Assists with Engineering investigations (liaison between Supplier / Engineering).
12. Supports SQFL with certification audits during the industrialization phase.
13. Supports incoming inspection queries on first article deliveries.
Job Requirements
1. A background (5+ Years) in quality and/or manufacturing engineering in the aerospace industry.
2. Strong problem-solving with critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent judgement/decision-making skills.
3. Knowledge of the Company's quality system, processes, and specifications.
4. Experienced in/knowledge of machining, NDT, special processing, and assembly of landing gear parts and assembly processes.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management and including Supplier management.
6. Ability to read drawings and understand/work in or with Catia models through our Enovia system.
7. In-depth knowledge of the PPAP process and requirements in an APQP environment.
8. Good computer (Microsoft Office products), analytical, statistical, and interpretative skills.
9. Ability to work flexible hours and travel frequently.
10. Ability to work safely, adhering to any Health and Safety policy as well as maintain a high level of 5S for a clean and safe work environment.
11. Ability to present to Suppliers and internal personnel.
12. Good negotiation skills and time management skills.
