Job summary As an LED you will have appropriate clinical responsibility for the care of patients delegated by the consultant to his/her charge. Co-responsibility for the proper functioning of the department, including supervision of more junior medical staff. Working within the multidisciplinary team. Co-ordinating appropriate medical, surgical, and allied disciplines concerned with patient care and communicating appropriately with general practitioners and community agencies. To undertake regular review of complex patients and to assist in the management of their care.
