Job Overview:
A Chartered Structural Engineer at a senior level is sought to join this award-winning structural consultancy at their offices based in South West London. You will be taking a key role in the running and development of the practice, working alongside the MD. You will be leading a team of engineers and technicians and taking responsibility for clients.
Company Background:
The practice is well established and expanding due to its continually increasing workload. The firm works mainly in the high-end residential sector, both new build and refurbishment, often bespoke projects involving basement design and multi-storey schemes. Other projects include commercial schemes such as schools and religious buildings. Projects normally range from £150,000 up to £10m. They also get involved in various temporary works design solutions.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Lead projects and design teams.
2. Mentor graduates.
3. Hands-on design at concept level.
4. Conduct surveys and reports.
5. Involvement in financial aspects such as invoicing and pricing.
6. Manage projects from inception to completion.
Candidate Requirements:
You must be a Chartered engineer with experience of working on a variety of building schemes and be technically excellent from a design point of view. Temporary works design experience would also be preferable and experience in the residential buildings sector is essential. You will need to be commercially astute.
