JOB ROLE: Production Manager
JOB LOCATION: Shepley, West Yorkshire
REPORTING TO: Factory Manager
Shepley Spring are the UK’s leading bottled water manufacturer with over 20 years’ experience in production and are proud to remain a family run business to this day.
The company operates in two manufacturing facilities in West Yorkshire and owns several high-speed production lines with the capabilities of producing both still and sparkling water servicing leading retailers such as Morrisons, Lidl, Booker Tesco and Sainsbury through private label and produces the brands Ice Valley and White Rock exclusively.

The production manager oversees the manufacturing process within the company, ensuring that production runs efficiently and meets quality standards.
Overall, the production manager plays a crucial role in driving the success of the manufacturing process by overseeing all aspects of production and ensuring that it operates smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
* Oversee the production process, ensuring that production targets and deadlines are met
* Coordinate with various departments such as procurement, manufacturing, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations
* Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime
* Monitor production metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
* Manage and motivate production staff, providing leadership, training, and guidance as needed
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
* Collaborate with other managers to develop strategies for cost reduction and process improvement
* Handle production-related issues and resolve conflicts in a timely manner
* Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and competitiveness
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
* Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
* Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
* Proficiency in using production management software and other relevant tools
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
* Attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
