The Location Analytics team focuses on the interaction between people and places. As part of the broader Marketing team, they support clients across the retail, public sector, and hospitality industries. Their work helps businesses determine optimal store locations, ranging from country-level strategy down to specific street and unit placements.
The Role
The Technical Project Manager will lead client projects, direct consultants, and be a key client-facing representative. This role involves advising on store location strategies at multiple levels, assessing the relationship between physical stores and online presence, and developing strategic roadmaps for business expansion. Working closely with project managers and directors, the Senior Consultant will oversee projects from a technical perspective, ensuring data accuracy and effective execution without the need for hands-on model building.
Projects vary in complexity, from quick analyses to long-term strategies lasting up to six months. The consultant’s role spans ranking potential locations to in-depth network planning, utilizing bespoke software to forecast sales and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Defining project scopes and ensuring clear, achievable goals.
* Managing project timelines and keeping stakeholders informed.
* Estimating project efforts and allocating resources efficiently.
* Providing technical oversight and guidance to analysts.
* Validating project deliverables and refining insights.
* Identifying and mitigating potential scope changes.
* Contributing expertise to drive innovation in Location Analytics.
Your Profile
We are looking for a professional with:
* 4-5 years of experience, ideally starting in a technical role before moving into project management OR managing technical projects directly.
* Familiarity with relevant technologies (hands-on or project-managed), including:
* Alteryx, Python, SQL, Geospatial tools, Excel, Power BI, Looker, Tableau.
* Strong client-facing skills and excellent stakeholder engagement.
* A passion for retail location analytics and the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
