Diagnostic Technician
To welcome you as a JLR Technician you will receive a joining bonus of £2,500*

As a skilled vehicle technician, you must hold skills and knowledge to undertake both minor and major mechanical faults (including engine repairs) and return vehicles back to manufacturer specification and standards.
We are welcoming applications from Technicians/Service Technicians who are NVQ level 2/3 trained or equivalent and have experience working within a busy volume franchised dealer environment or independent garage/dealer. If you have knowledge of the BMW brand that would be fantastic but not essential.
You will require a Full UK drivers’ licence and have your own tools.
Depending On Your Skill Level The Role Will Involve
1. Utilising your mechanical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including clutch replacement and cam belt replacement.
2. Effectively and productively service and maintain customer vehicles from brake pads and tyres to oil and filter checks.
3. Complete minor electrical work as and when required.
4. Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary.
5. Mentor apprentices and support less experienced team members.
6. Ability to complete a Vehicle Health Check (VHC) ensuring that the (VHC) video completion meets target and exceeds all Vehicle (VHC) KPIs.
What Will You Need To Succeed In The Role
1. Technical knowledge to allow you to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles.
2. Demonstrate capability and confidence in using equipment within the workshop.
3. Experience within a franchise dealer or independent garage working to the highest quality standards.
4. Experience of working to productivity targets.
5. Mentor & Coach apprentices and support less experienced team members.
6. NVQ level 3 trained with work experience in a franchised dealer or independent garage.
