An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team in Blackburn. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate preparation of financial transactions, supporting management accounts, and providing stakeholders with high-quality financial information. What You'll do: Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and other key financial reports. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Ensure payments to suppliers are processed on time and supplier accounts are reconciled. Help prepare tax returns, including VAT and other relevant filings. Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accurate inventory and WIP valuation. Verify and reconcile stock, ensuring accurate valuations and addressing any discrepancies. Work closely with the Stock team to ensure system-to-floor checks, quarantine movement authorisations, and inventory audits are completed in line with company policies. Assist in the timely closing of accounts and preparation for audits. What you bring: AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) qualification is required. Previous experience as an Assistant Management Accountant is essential. Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or similar industry would be beneficial. Strong stock experience is essential. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Ability to analyse complex data is crucial. Excellent time management skills are needed.
