We are currently looking for our future Technical Administrator who will be based in Wabtec, Derby. Who will you be working with? You will be reporting to the Head of Engineering Management Office. How will you make a difference? As a Technical Administrator, you will support various areas of the business including office administration, liaising with product leads, senior management, and external agencies, and administration of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System. Utilizing, a variety of systems/tools that are available you will aid the Wabtec UK engineering team in the management of tasks, approvals, and project forecasting and data reporting. What do we want to know from you? You have excellent organizational and communication skills. You have great attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to continuous improvement. You are an advanced user of Microsoft packages You possess strong Excel skills You are experienced in Report writing (Word) You are fluent in English (writing, reading, speaking, listening). What will your typical day look like? You are required to produce weekly reports, monthly reports, and key performance indicators as needed. You need to provide technical support and training for different business units on the PLM system and resolve any queries (training will be provided). You must perform month-end reporting on engineering services. You are responsible for conducting regular audits of documentation and systems. You should handle general administration tasks, such as processing paperwork, managing team diaries, booking rooms, processing purchase order requests, and handling travel requests. You are expected to be based in the Derby office, but some travel to other Wabtec UK sites may be required. Legal authorization to work in United Kingdom is required.
