We’re looking for a Social Media Officer to help grow our audience and make a difference to the lives of millions of young people across the UK.
We are currently working with a hybrid working model, where there is the option of working from home combined with 4-12 days a month of working in the office.
About this role
As part of our Social Media Team, you will grow our target audiences and boost engagement in line with our emerging strategy. You will be one of the main content creators for our Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and Tik Tok. That could look like reaching young people with supportive messages, campaigning to improve mental health support, speaking out about an injustice impacting young people, or sharing tips for parents and trusted adults.
You will also lead on our community management and respond to the comments, direct messages and posts from our audience. We work in a test-and-learn environment where you will be encouraged to build on insights and instinct to experiment and take risks.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
1. Experience of producing high quality, engaging, multi-media content for Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
2. Experience of community management.
3. Ability to think creatively, innovate and generate new ideas for campaigns, content and collaborations.
4. Knowledge of mental health, the systems and structures in society that impact young people’s mental health, current affairs, social issues, campaigning and British politics.
5. An understanding of Anti-Racism, Justice, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (AJEDI) principles.
We welcome applications from Black and Minoritised, LGBTQ+ groups and those with disabilities, as they are currently under-represented. For more information about the role, download our job pack.
One of our values is: “We celebrate what makes you you – whoever you are, we welcome you and encourage you to be true to yourself.”
If you are excited about helping us to achieve our mission, passionate about working at an organisation that puts the lived experience of young people at the heart of everything we do and want to be part of our drive to become a truly anti-racist organisation we want to hear from you.
