Description Lambeth Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Tenancy Investigation Officer to work within the Counter Fraud Shared Service. The role will be employed in the Lambeth team and will be based at Lambeth Town Hall. About the Team The Counter Fraud Shared Service consists of professionals that investigate all allegations of fraud against Lambeth and Croydon, including corporate, tenancy, and council tax fraud. The advertised role will report to an Investigation Team Manager and will primarily investigate allegations of tenancy fraud. About You We are looking for a counter fraud investigator with enthusiasm and drive and with a background in investigation work. The role requires experience of investigating tenancy fraud and other types of fraud that are prevalent within a large London local authority. It is essential that candidates can demonstrate knowledge and experience of both civil and criminal outcomes in relation to tenancy fraud. We require a determined and motivated individual with experience of working within a counter fraud environment and an analytical and interrogative approach to their work. The ability to prioritise workload and to make informed decisions is a requirement of the role. The work of the Team is target driven so the ideal candidate will be accustomed to meeting targets whilst working under pressure and be able to work closely with colleagues to meet deadlines.
