An opportunity has arisen in our highly skilled and expanding EMC projects team for a new team leader.
Job Title: Electromagnetic Capability Project Team Lead
Salary: Up to £65,000, depending on experience
Location: Bristol or Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The opportunity:
The EMC team provides specialist advice, strategy and guidance to all complex weapon programmes from the concept through design, proving and into in service. You will work across multiple programmes and across three main strands: requirements, design and proving.
You will have access to extensive military EMC test capabilities also managed separately within the EMC department that will be used to qualify the MBDA product developments against the electromagnetic environment requirements.
Your team will be responsible for investigating and/or deploying novel digital proving techniques and methodology. In addition to supporting the project teams directly, you will be managing and coordinating the project activities your team performs.

6. Knowledge of electrical, electronic and electromagnetic engineering is desirable but not essential. The role will require knowledge of EMC; however, this can be developed in role.
