We are currently looking for an Event Budget Manager to join the Wasserman Boxing Team in London. This role is responsible for supporting the EVP, Managing Executives & Head of Commercial of Global Boxing in ensuring a smooth and efficient operated division through everyday processes, practices, and requirements, working closely with the Boxing UK Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain tracker for all Boxing promotional agreements
* Ensure Boxing team expense claims are processed correctly and in line with cardholder and company policy
* Submit customer invoice requests to Finance team for processing, ensuring all contractual support and purchase order information is provided
* Attend debtors review meetings with Finance team and ensure action items are undertaken as appropriate by the Boxing team
* Build-out event budgets before events and forecast various scenarios with robust assumptions
* Work with Finance team to finalize event budgets, ensuring all internal approvals obtained in line with agreed processes and procedures
* Track event costs vs event budgets ensuring operational team maintains spend within approved parameters and escalate any potential variances to budget or impacts on event profitability
* Manage JV partners in relation to event spend and ensure spend does not exceed approved budgets
* Maintain ticket sales reports in the build-up to events, providing regular reporting to leadership of sales status
* Maintain event cash list as required including per diems
* Ensure all fighter and supplier contracts are in place for each event
* Work with Finance team to ensure accurate receipt of information, invoices and bank information for fighter purses and ensure payments made in line with contractual terms
* Manage event cash procedures in line with company policy including cash counting, handling and receipts
* Provide Finance team with inputs and industry knowledge for Boxer signings/valuation modeling
Requirements
* Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial budgets in a clear and insightful manner to non-finance as well as finance users
* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel (ideally Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs)
* Experience of working on own initiative and as a member of a closely-knit team in an agile environment, organizing and prioritizing own work while multi-tasking
